Adding value through Facilities Management
Vail Williams’ ongoing relationship with The University of Southampton Science Park Limited (USSP) dates back to the 1980s after providing them with strategic advice upon the concept of the development of the Science Park.
Over the last three years we have been providing Facilities Management to the Science Park which is home to a number of Research and Development (R & D) companies: our Property Asset Management team offers a full management service; with services including management of the rent roll and service charge collection as well as facilities management, with the team providing advice on lease renewals, terminations, rent reviews and dilapidations on over 86 tenancies.
Since the introduction of Facilities Management, amongst other tasks, we have added value to the USSP site by redecorating the internal common parts of the majority of the properties, completing planned maintenance programmes for all structures and plant on the estate, introducing biometric door entry systems and reviewing the waste management programmes.
