Fast track development enables important European contract wins
Vail Williams’ Planning team’s advice to The Surrey Research Park dates back to the 1980s with the successful promotion and allocation of the former Green Belt land for business purposes through the Guildford Local Plan. More recently, Vail Williams secured planning permission for Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) to build a 48,000 sq ft £8 million technical facility on the University of Surrey’s research park. SSTL were selected by the European Space Agency to supply 14 navigation payloads for the Galileo Satellite System for which they will conduct research, development and design work in the new facility. This permission has enabled our client to fast track the development of the facility and win various European contracts.
