Property Acquisition for Compass Group
Objective
Compass Group, the world’s largest foodservice company, required new and enlarged corporate premises in the Chertsey area of Surrey close to the M25. They also had very specific requirements from the design and layout of the new premises.
Service delivery
Available properties in the Heathrow area were assessed resulting in Vail Williams acquiring the 47,000 sq ft Aymer House for Compass Group while under construction – subsequently renamed Compass House. Vail Williams’ Building Consultancy team acted as build monitor for Compass Group liaising with the client to identify specific requirements from the building and communicating this to the developers’ design and construction team, eliminating the need for future alteration at cost to the client.
The multi-million pound fit-out was project managed by Vail Williams to ensure work was completed to required standard, on time and budget.
Our Rating team advised on the rating of the new building and managed the rates payable during the relocation between premises, saving Compass Group £200,000.
Vail Williams also undertook a conditions survey on Compass’ previous building, advising on a required programme of essential maintenance and refurbishment prior to marketing the space.
