Securing future value and flexibility
We act nationwide for National Express, preparing and project managing numerous planning applications required to support their coach and bus operations in diverse locations such as Milton Keynes and Portsmouth. More significantly, we also look at strategic freehold sites across the UK where redevelopment may be possible in the longer term. Particular projects have involved sites in and around Birmingham and Dundee. This work includes advice on appropriate development, financial appraisals, planning feasibilities, as well as promotion of the sites through the Local Development Framework and planning policy documents. We have secured the allocation for residential purposes of four sites currently used for coach and bus operations that may in the medium term become surplus to requirements. By establishing this principle for a change of use in the future, we have provided National Express with enhanced value and flexibility for their business.
