Seeing What’s Best for the Business
As part of our ongoing relationship, Vail Williams were asked by Jacobs, one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of professional technical services, to advise in respect of their future occupation of premises in Reading.
Our ongoing contract is based around our Corporate Real Estate Team devising strategies and procedures to ensure that all properties provide the standard and flexibility required by Jacobs to meet their business needs. This meant that we were able to establish that a larger building of 130,000 sq ft (net) would give them greater flexibility and suitability for the future.
We identified three options and, maximising the time frame we had planned, were not only able to negotiate hard but also allow Jacobs enough time to consider the options fully.
As a result we were able to conclude an extremely favourable deal for a new purpose built office on the IQ Winnersh Business Park near Reading. The completion of the premises in ample time allowed Jacobs to make a swift and seamless transition without affecting their business.
As part of the relocation, Vail Williams not only provided strategic advice in connection with their former premises we provided marketing and planning advice and undertook the dilapidations.
