All three ground floor retail units at a brand-new landmark redevelopment in the New Forest town of Lyndhurst have been bought.
The self-contained units, on 999-year leases and with peppercorn ground rents, are part of the gateway Lyndhurst Park with 79 residential homes.
Property consultancy Vail Williams, which has offices in Southampton and Bournemouth, was appointed to market the units.
Bryony Thompson, a Vail Williams’ Partner, said: “The three commercial units at Lyndhurst Park, on the High Street in the ‘capital’ of the New Forest National Park, attracted strong interest.
“Unit 1 (484 sq ft) was marketed at £160,000, with unit 2 (398 sq ft) at £130,000 and unit 3 (705 sq ft) at £210,000.“Unit 1 was the first to be occupied and opened – Bramble & Bluebell sells country-inspired homeware, gifts and home décor.
“Unit 2 is earmarked for a candles store whilst unit 3 is to be a kitchen worktop showroom, purchased by Bath Granite & Marble.
“Lyndhurst Park occupies a prominent position on the A35 east to Southampton, and the retail units benefit from High Street frontage, along with nearby access to the New Forest countryside.
“These key factors, along with the quality of the redevelopment, drew in buyers.”
Each retail unit includes electricity, WC facilities, air conditioning, kitchenette and an allocated car parking space.
