A specialist property finance lender is the first company to lease office space at a landmark building in Bournemouth town centre following OnBuy.com’s departure.

In a deal through property consultancy Vail Williams, Catalyst Property Finance signed the 2,919 sq ft third floor at Taylors House at 12-14 Dean Park Crescent.

The outside of Taylors House, near the town centre’s Richmond Hill, is a familiar sight to many people who travel on the A338 Wessex Way.

Bryony Thompson, a partner at the Bournemouth office of Vail Williams, said: “OnBuy.com had been the sub-tenant of Taylors House and, following the head-lease expiry last summer, the landlord has been refurbishing the building to turn it in to a high quality multi-let office building.

“That provided the opportunity for local businesses such as Catalyst to move into the building, which provides sweeping views from the rooftop terrace of the town centre, Poole Bay and Old Harry Rocks.

“Taylors House, with a total of 13,202 sq ft, is being offered on a letting basis on a floor-by-floor basis, and the ground floor is under offer by another company.”

Office accommodation is arranged over four floors, with the ground floor comprising an entrance/reception area with a shared seating area and meeting room.

Floors one to three are arranged as predominantly open plan offices while the 4th floor is a shared kitchen/break-out area with a roof terrace.

Bryony added: “Taylors House has an exciting future as a regional base for companies looking to grow headcount and presence in Bournemouth as a great place to live, play and work.”
