A brace of new recruits has strengthened the team at commercial property expert Vail Williams to meet increasing demand and powerful business growth in the Gatwick Diamond region.

Adam Dixon joins the Crawley office's valuation team as Senior Surveyor, focusing upon the production of bank valuation work in the Gatwick area.

Also joining Vail Williams' Crawley office, this time in the company's planning consultancy, is Graduate Planner James Guthrie, who will be assisting in the Gatwick region.

Adam has 16 years' industry experience, including a six-year role with RF Surveying where he was a Director. Prior to this, Adam worked on a freelance consultancy basis in the public and private sectors.

James graduated from the University of Manchester with a Masters in Planning and Real Estate. He is now working towards becoming a chartered member of both the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

His experience includes working with a strategic land firm and the planning policy team at a borough council.

Vail Williams' confidence to strengthen further its expert and experienced team provides more evidence of the continued upswing of planning activity from an accelerating property sector and the UK economy more widely.

Adam and James's appointments are among a clutch of new faces at senior and junior levels arriving at Vail Williams' commercial property consultancy offices in Guildford, Crawley, Reading, Southampton and London.

Vail Williams Partner and Head of Valuation Peter Sudworth said: "We are delighted to welcome Adam. He brings knowledge and skills that will help us continue to grow and provide an even stronger valuation service for clients."

Commenting on James Guthrie's appointment, Vail Williams Partner and Head of Planning Consultancy James Lacey said: "James's appointment is among several nationally that show how Vail Williams is growing around the country. As activity in the property sector continues to accelerate, we're ready with our own expansion to meet that challenge."

A total of 17 recruits, promotions and transfers across Vail Williams have boosted in particular the company's key services: planning, building consultancy, valuation, lease advisory and property asset management.
