Combining elements of transactional flair with an eye for detail, research and analysis, Carl is a registered valuer with 35 years’ experience in all main market sectors, advice relating to occupation and investment.
Carl has a particular specialism in medical property, Section 18 Valuations relating to dilapidations and is appointed by the President of the RICS in respect of Independent Expert Dispute Resolution on valuation and rent reviews.
He has acted for Aberdeen Standard in relation to lease advisory work on Fareham Industrial Park for many years, including preparing and attending Mediation for a £1,500,000 Section 18 Valuation dilapidations claim.
Carl has also provided asset valuations in respect of a major long leasehold investment in "Harley Street" on behalf of a Charity, together with regular lease consultancy work including renegotiation of the leasehold interest with the Howard De Walden Estate.
Additionally, he has undertaken asset valuations for a Local Authority in relation to car park assets and freehold/leasehold valuations in respect of interests in a 300,000 sq ft shopping centre.
Acting on behalf of La Salle on a multi-storey car park rent review in Weymouth, he achieved a significant uplift over the five year review cycle, notwithstanding essentially static turnover, by the application of methodology more appropriate to the asset than previously applied.
Outside work, Carl is a Watford Football Club season ticket holder, enjoys mountain biking, long distance cycling, beer (especially Belgian), keeping/breeding exotic chickens, as well as playing guitar (in an agricultural fashion!) and Yoga.
