Steve has over 25 years’ experience in blue chip facilities management across the public and private sector, specialising in prime City real estate.
His extensive facilities and property asset management experience includes the banking/financial sector, skyline commercial office space and specialisms such as hard and soft service contract remediation, costs analysis and budgeting, service charge modelling and contract/tender negotiation.
Steve’s early career was spent with Barclays plc and included relocating their key London buildings Head Office to their new campus HQ in Coventry and managing the operations of the new site for 3 years. This 11 acre centre also operated a wholly outsourced service delivery model – one of the first anywhere in the UK for a major company.
His FM and consultancy clients included ICI/Akzo Nobel HQ, Savills, LIFFE/Eurex, London and Continental Railways, KPMG, States of Jersey, and the London Borough of Ealing.
Notable achievements include the management of Cannon Bridge – a city skyline location where he achieved significant service improvements while at the same time reducing service charges by £1M within 12 months. Steve also successfully project managed the relocated 3,600 staff alongside concurrent office refurbishment across a number of KPMG’s London offices.
Steve’s hobbies include music production, graphic and web design, collecting modern art, and Apollo 11 memorabilia. He has also been an extra in several TV shows and films, a judge on the BAFTA award winning TV show ‘Faking It’, and a contestant on ‘The Weakest Link’.
