––Abin joined Vail Williams in 2024 as a Planning Technician, having achieved his MA in Urban Design from Newcastle University, during which time he worked as a student planner at Banks Group.
As a Planning Technician, Abin is responsible for supporting Vail Williams’ clients with their planning requirements through a variety of technical and administrative tasks.
He is responsible for gathering and analysing data related to land use, zoning, and environmental factors, often using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create maps and visualisations.
Abin also reviews development proposals to ensure compliance with zoning laws and assists in the permitting process. As part of his role, he engages with the public and stakeholders, coordinating consultations, meetings, and communications.
He also contributes to policy research and documentation, helping to prepare planning reports and strategies, monitoring development projects to ensure they follow regulations and timelines, and providing ongoing project support to the firm’s senior planners.
In his own time, Abin enjoys going to the gym, gaming and socialising with friends, often through playing badminton, hiking or going to the pub.
