––Dominic is a Senior Planner based at our Woking and Gatwick offices.
He has over 10 years’ planning experience which he gained predominantly in local government, before joining Vail Williams in 2023. In 2024, Dominic became Chartered with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
His experience working in local government has seen him develop a solid grasp of the planning issues affecting residential and commercial development in both urban and rural areas.
His experience as a development management planner for local authorities, has allowed Dominic to build an in-depth understanding of how to apply national and local planning policy, investigate case law and how to interpret the General Permitted Development Order.
He is also experienced in navigating the planning process on applications affecting Green Belt, flood risk, heritage assets and environmental and landscape designations.
Since moving into private practice, Dominic is responsible for undertaking site appraisals for a variety of proposals, in addition to preparing planning applications, pre-applications and planning appeals.
Outside work, Dominic enjoys reading, live music and visiting new places. He has recently developed a keen interest in archery.
