––Richard joined Vail Williams in 2025 as a Partner in the Building Consultancy team where he will be responsible for business development in London, focussed within the M25.
A Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years’ experience in the property industry, Richard brings with him invaluable experience in strategic building consultancy, as well as leading on distressed assets and development projects for Administrators, Receivers and Funders.
His experience spans a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, health, education and rail, where he has provided a comprehensive building consultancy services – from building surveying to project management.
Richard joined Vail Williams from Naismiths where he was head of building consultancy. Other roles have included leading the UK business of multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy and valuation and professional services provision.
Outside of work, Richard is a passionate rugby union fan and a proud Scarlets season ticket holder. He enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and walking—and has even completed the National Three Peaks Challenge.
