Stefan Oehl

Stefan joined Vail Williams in 2026 as part of the Midlands Building Consultancy team. He is a Chartered Building Surveyor with more than 25 years’ experience delivering commercial property advice across both the private and public sectors and a broad range of building types.

Specialising in building consultancy, project management and technical due diligence, Stefan provides clear, commercially focused advice tailored to the specific requirements of landlords, tenants, investors and owner-occupiers.

Throughout his career, he has successfully project managed and administered a wide variety of refurbishment, repair and improvement schemes with values of up to £10 million across the office, industrial and retail sectors.

Stefan has extensive experience in dilapidations acting on behalf of both landlords and tenants, helping clients manage lease liabilities, negotiate settlements and protect asset value. He also undertakes detailed building condition surveys, technical inspections and defect analysis, producing concise reports to support investment, acquisition and asset management decisions.

In addition, Stefan prepares planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and schedules of condition to help clients effectively manage property risk and long-term maintenance obligations.

Known for his practical and personable approach, Stefan works closely with clients to deliver straightforward advice and commercially viable solutions across all stages of the property lifecycle.

Outside of work, Stefan is a keen sports fan with a particular interest in rugby, football and cricket. He also enjoys sailing, having taken part in both the Rolex Fastnet Race and Cork Week, and likes to keep up to date with current affairs.
