Vail Williams last night scooped a hat-trick of industry awards at the South Coast’s largest property event.
Held at The Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton, the South Coast Property Awards recognises the contributions of property agents, surveyors, developers, dealmakers, planners, architects, consultants and property lawyers to the success of the sector.
The awards for Vail Williams, which has offices in Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Southampton, were in three categories with five firms shortlisted for each one:
- Industrial/Logistics Consultancy of the Year (by deals)
- Offices Consultancy of the Year (by deals)
- Offices Consultancy of the Year (by square foot)
All three categories were sponsored by CoStar, a world leader in commercial real estate information. None of the three categories could be entered into, with CoStar providing the data.
Russell Mogridge, national lead partner in the agency team at Vail Williams, said: “To pick up an industrial/logistics award as well was particularly rewarding for us, complementing our success in the offices sector.
“We have had a consistently high share of the offices market and industrial has been a big growth area for us over the last couple of years.
“We have grown the industrials team and targeted both landlords and developers in that sector and represent many Business owners in finding new premises for them.
“A highlight for us was selling an Industrial site in Portsmouth at a record land sale price this year. We’re very optimistic that there is a lot of growth in the region.”
The South Coast Property Awards, with headline sponsor Amiri Construction and covering commercial, residential and retail, were organised by The Business Magazine.
Vail Williams was presented with the industrial/logistics award for completing the most industrial/logistics deals across the region and the highest total by square feet transacted from January 1 2021 to June 30 2022.
The two offices consultancy awards were presented to Vail Williams for completing the highest total of commercial deals in the office sector across the region and the highest total by square feet transacted during the 18-month period from January 1 2020 to November 30 2021.
TV personality Marcus Brigstocke hosted the black-tie event, the fifth of its kind and the first since the pandemic. There were 14 award categories.
Category sponsors include AECOM, Biscoes Legal Services, CoStar, Dutton Gregory Solicitors, Highwood Group, Lambert Smith Hampton, MSP Capital and South Coast CPS.
