Associate role for Bryony at Vail Williams

The new Bournemouth office has been strengthened with the appointment of Bryony Solan, bringing extensive knowledge across Dorset.

Property consultancy Vail Williams has made its first staff appointment in Bournemouth following the spring merger with Cowling & West.

Bryony Solan, a MRICS chartered surveyor, joins Vail Williams as an Associate in property acquisition and disposal.

Previously with Goadsby Commercial for seven years, Bryony joins colleagues David Cowling, Nadine Leonard, Russell Miller, Simon Tubbs and Simon West.

Russell, who is Vail Williams’ business development lead regionally and nationally, heads up the new office.

He said: “Bryony has extensive knowledge of the business space landscape across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP), bringing expertise and insights to landlords, occupiers and investors of offices and industrial and warehouse units.

“Bryony’s new role as Associate is in recognition of her successful track record in leasehold and freehold advisory work.”

She said: “Dorset is home to a range of international businesses and SMEs which require tailored business space in an economy adapting to new ways of working.

“These include manufacturing and engineering, marine, aerospace, finance, insurance, tourism, professional services and digital and creative industries.”

According to official figures, Dorset has 52,000 businesses, with more than 7,250 new ones registered last year.

Bryony added: “I’m looking forward to helping grow Vail Williams grow in Dorset, exceeding the expectations of clients, generating new business opportunities and complementing the activity at our South Coast offices in Portsmouth and Southampton.”

Bryony qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2020, having graduated with a first in real estate management at the University College of Estate Management.

She is a former student at Brockenhurst College in the New Forest and pupil at Highcliffe School, Christchurch.

A keen sports player, Bryony is currently volunteering at Christchurch Rugby Club and assisting with the building of a ladies’ team.

On March 1st Vail Williams merged with Cowling & West, which was established 35 years ago and includes property valuations as well as property acquisitions and disposals.

Vail Williams act for numerous high-profile clients in the BCP area from its offices in Portsmouth, Southampton and now Bournemouth, including Grange Road Business Park in Christchurch on behalf of BAE Systems, Lush, Chancerygate and Hoburne.

Following a series of mergers, Vail Williams has 10 offices – Birmingham, Bournemouth, Crawley, Heathrow, Leeds, London, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton and Woking.
