Hughes Ellard has been recognised for completing the most commercial deals in the office sector across the South coast.
The property adviser, which is now part of Vail Williams LLP, picked up the Offices Consultancy award at the South Coast Property Awards, held at the Hilton at Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
The award, sponsored by CoStar, draws from industry data based on deals volumes to recognise the most active regional property consultancies.
Hughes Ellard was awarded the honour in recognition of completing 42 deals and 203,202 sq. ft of office space across the region during the period from January 2017 to March 1st 2018.
The win comes following the merger between Vail Williams and Hughes Ellard at the start of June. This success reinforces the one-time competitors’ decision to join forces to create the largest transactional team in the Solent.

With the addition of Hughes Ellard’s 27 staff, Vail Williams now has 165 employees and partners nationally.
Of those, the newly enlarged team of 10 business space, retail and leisure and investment agents for the Solent region provide acquisition and disposal advisory services for occupiers, developers and investors. The team are based at Vail Williams’ Solent offices at Ocean Village in Southampton and the Lakeside North Harbour business campus in Portsmouth.
The South Coast Property Award comes following Vail Williams’ recent success at the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, where it picked up the Commitment to People Development Award. The property advisers also won the Property Client Service Award at the annual Thames Valley Property Awards in May.
