High-quality workspace at one of the South’s major business parks is fully occupied following the latest letting.
Vertical farms specialist Agventure Farms has leased the first-floor south suite at Prism, 1650 Parkway, Solent Business Park, Whiteley, on the M27 Corridor between Southampton and Portsmouth.
Property consultancy Vail Williams, joint marketing agents with Savills, acted on behalf of commercial property investment company Craigard, the owner of Prism, in the 1,636 sq ft office deal.
Other occupiers are Prism include residential developer Elivia – formerly Crayfern Homes – and South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, which runs an education centre on site for staff and students on the top floor.
Prism was acquired by Craigard in 2016, with a comprehensive refurbishment of the 29,591 sq ft property over three floors and arranged as two wings either side of central atrium.
Matt Cureton, a Vail Williams surveyor, said: “Prism, a high-quality workspace, is now fully occupied following the letting to Agventure Farms.
“The suite was fully furnished beforehand so the occupier could move in from day one – this ‘plug and play’ offering is becoming increasingly popular here on the South Coast.”
David Foster, Craigard’s managing director, said: “Craigard invested in creating a superb working environment for prospective tenants, with a comprehensive refurbishment to meet the expectations of modern-day tenants. It is great to see the building now fully let and having done so well since the pandemic – to achieve lettings on circa 60% of the building since the pandemic began is quite an achievement.”
Vail Williams and Savills acted with Lodders Solicitors in Warwickshire for Craigard; law firm Warner Goodman in Southampton represented Agventure Farms.
Spread out over 130 acres, Solent Business Park is home to more than 60 companies employing 5,000 people.
Details of lease terms have not been disclosed.
