Vail Williams Solent Thought Leadership Event

March 18, 2016

The Vail Williams annual Thought Leadership Event took place yesterday (March 17th) at the stunning Ordnance Survey building in Southampton.

This thought provoking breakfast seminar was attended by 120 local business people both from within the property industry and from the wider business community.

The event was designed to look into the future which was why the very forward looking Ordnance Survey building was such an appropriate choice of venue.

A hearty breakfast was followed by some equally satisfying content from the 3 speakers in the main plenary session:-

Tim Walker from Taylor Made Computer Solutions took delegates on an exciting journey into the not too distant technological future. He talked about 3D printing for organs, wearable communications, social media and a host of other technological advances.

Mike Gawthorne from recruitment specialist Serocor Group talked about the changing face of what drives today’s recruits aside from the main salary with company vision, corporate values, work life blend and working environment becoming increasingly important.

Then Head of Eastleigh Borough Council Keith House painted a picture of the office building of the future using his own high tech, environmentally advanced, refurbished Council Offices as a great example.

Philip Holmes from Vail Williams’ Southampton office was delighted with both the turn out and the quality of the speakers and said:-

“This is our second annual thought leadership breakfast seminar in the Solent region and it was a great event that I hope our high calibre guest list enjoyed.

I’d like to thank the speakers who provided some excellent thought provoking and engaging content and the venue for such a stylish backdrop and a great breakfast.

I hope we will host a similar event next year – any speakers with some thought leading content and opinions to shout about should let me know – we’d like to hear from you.”
