CoStar, the leader in commercial property information, has announced Vail Williams as the top office agent for Portsmouth, following the launch of its Dealmaker Awards for locations across the south.
In association with The Business Magazine, the awards focus on occupational sales and lettings through 2017.
Recognising the achievements of property agents, both in terms of number of deals completed and square footage, Vail Williams was awarded the top office agent for Portsmouth with 10 deals completed and a total of 48,095 sq ft.
In the industrial property arena, Vail Williams is also top with 27 deals, ahead of Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) with 12. In terms of square footage, Vail Williams completed 176,437 sq ft to LSH’s 125,050 sq ft. Third is Doherty Baines.
Russell Miller, Partner at Vail Williams and Regional Head of Business Development for the Solent, said: “We’re delighted to be announced as the leading top office agent and to be recognised for our work in the industrial sector across the Solent.
“This award recognises the significant amount of work that we do across the region which, over the last year, has included acting on the £9 million industrial development at Pioneer Park – the first post-recession speculative development of its kind in the area.”
“There is a great deal of confidence in the Portsmouth and wider Solent property market and demand remains strong across the board, with both office and industrial requirements at an all-time high.”
The award of top office agency comes at a busy time for Vail Williams, which has recently appointed several new property advisers to its ranks in its Southampton and Portsmouth offices, including valuation expert, Chris Wright, and most recently, planning partner, David Ramsay.
The award rankings form part of the collation of data for the South Coast Property Awards, which takes place at Hilton at Ageas Bowl, Southampton, on July 19. Click here for a link to the full dealmaker listings.
