100 Property Club Dinner – A Hundred and One reasons to be positive.

December 7, 2016

Last night saw the 101st hosting of the 100 Property Club Dinner – a glittering event with an impressive history. This year’s dinner was held at the Inter-Continental Hotel, Park Lane, London.

The event, attended by 250 influential ‘movers and shakers’ from the property world was an excellent chance to network, reflect on a fairly tumultuous year and raise money for charity.

Vail Williams Partner James Lacey was this year’s chair and opened proceedings by welcoming the 250 guests with a typically positive address and here’s what he said afterwards:-

“The 100 Property Club Dinner is a wonderful event and I have been delighted to be this year’s Chair and get the chance to address the audience. I was keen to stress that we are bound to have the odd surprise in life and whatever our personal political stance given the events of 2016, we have a fantastic country, proven resilience and the ability to weather storms if difficult times arise. We must show commitment to each other and those we work with, live by a core set of values and be positive”.

We are delighted that we raised circa £34,000 at the dinner. This will be split between the Lords Taverners and Woking & Sam Beare Hospices and is a superb achievement, for such good causes”.

An excellent dinner was followed by entertainment from comedian Simon Evans and of course by the amazing auction that raised that incredible total of £34,000.

Taking on the theme of of James’ positive opening address it is clear that the Property Industry has a lot going for it – not least the talented and generous people that work for all the excellent companies represented last night who displayed a real spirit of togetherness.
