Vail Williams was appointed by Surrey County Council as framework planning adviser to secure planning consent for Hopescourt School, a new specialist SEN facility designed to meet growing demand for education provision for children with additional needs.
The site presented a number of significant planning and technical challenges. Located within the green belt on a former quarry and landfill site, the scheme required a robust justification for development, alongside a comprehensive education planning strategy to address land contamination.
