Vail Williams has hired a new head for its expanding Property Asset Management (PAM) division following sustained business demand.
The appointment of experienced Carl Grint, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) who joins at Partner level, boosts the property consultancy’s ongoing strategic growth plan.
Carl, who moved from Aitchison Raffety and previously spent 15 years at CNC Property Fund Management, has three decades’ experience in both commercial and residential property sectors.
Based at the Reading office in the Thames Valley region, Carl leads the Vail Williams team specialising in PAM, property and service charge management, corporate real estate services, rent reviews, lease renewals and restructures.
He advises a wide range of clients, including private and charitable trusts, wealthy individuals, corporates, pension property investors, tenant occupiers and developers.
Carl started his career in residential estate agency, qualifying as a chartered surveyor and moving into client-side mixed portfolio property fund and asset management work, before moving into property management agency work.
He said: ”I am delighted to have joined Vail Williams at Partner level. This is a great opportunity to continue to grow the firm’s offering and deliver a second-to-none service while developing and nurturing our excellent team.
“In my last role, I delivered change within the management team to introduce clearer team role and awareness, implementation of a new management system and a strong quality service to customers.
“I place a great emphasis on the integrity of every team member, and I am proud that customers trust the team to deliver the required service. My role is to ensure that every cog in our engine functions perfectly.”
Vail Williams’ PAM team has also been boosted by the appointment of Diana Southwell (Surveyor, South Coast), Esta Rose (Regional FM, South Coast), Glyn Jones (Regional FM, Thames Valley) and Lorraine Ncube (Credit Controller, Thames Valley).
Vail Williams’ Managing Partner Matthew Samuel-Camps said: “Changing and growing demand has led us to strengthen our team and I am gratified that we have such a seasoned operator as Carl heading the PAM operations.
“Carl has knowledge of managing property in the UK and abroad including Ireland and Eastern Europe and his experience extends to cover every aspect of general practice surveying, with the ability to coordinate different specialisms within the surveying industry to achieve solutions to meet clients’ complex requirements.”
