June 18, 2019

We are delighted to bring you news that have made ten promotions across our offices in Birmingham, Crawley, Reading, Southampton, Portsmouth, Woking and London.

The promotions span several areas of our property expertise, including acquisitions and disposals, commercial property investment, business rates, planning, lease advice, valuation and property asset management.

Two invitations were made to equity partner, with three partner appointments, four associate promotions and one surveyor promotion to Level 2.

Managing Partner, Matthew Samuel-Camps, commented: “I’m delighted to announce this year’s round of promotions. Our people are at the heart of our business, so it’s incredibly important to reflect the outstanding contributions they have made during their time with us.”

Carole Taylor (Birmingham) and Richard Dawtrey (London), were both invited to join the equity partnership, whilst Sam Hill (London), Joe Walker (Southampton) and Suzanne Holloway (Crawley) were all promoted to partner for their work in their respective disciplines of business rates, lease advice and planning.

In addition to the achievements in her role, Suzanne, who joined us in 2016, was recently hailed as one of the Top 50 women of influence in planning by leading industry magazine, The Planner.

She has played a major role in the regeneration of the Manor Royal Business District in Crawley.

“Rewarding people like Suzanne through clear career progression, allows us to, together with our cultural values and agile approach to working, become the employer of choice – attracting and retaining the very best talent in the sector, for the benefit of our clients,” Matthew continued.

Ben Christian (Southampton), Emily Knowles (Birmingham), Philip Knight and Jane Chamberlin (Reading) were all promoted to associate for strong individual performances in their respective disciplines of planning, valuation, asset management and valuation.

Meanwhile, Elliot McNish, based at our office in Woking, was promoted to Surveyor Level 2, having joined us following our acquisition of New Ballerino in November 2018.

The promotions kick-start another year of projected growth for us following our merger with Southampton and Fareham-based Hughes Ellard and acquisition of New Ballerino in Chertsey in 2018.

Over the course of the last year (2018-19),we have achieved double-digit growth in revenues of 17% and now employ over 170 people across our offices in Reading, Southampton, Portsmouth, Woking, Crawley, Heathrow, Birmingham and London.

Matthew concluded: “As we look ahead to the next three years, we remain committed to investing in the future growth of the firm in each of the regions in which we operate, and in particular, to the continued development of the people that lie at the heart of our business.

“I’d like to take the opportunity to congratulate each and every one of this year’s promotees and wish to thank them for their hard work and dedication to both our clients and the wider business.”

The promotions took effect on 1st June.
