Challenge
Vail Williams was appointed by St. Peter’s College, University of Oxford, via a competitive tender process to support the college in developing a new 10-year estate strategy.
As part of this our building consultancy team, which specialises in assessing historic and listed buildings, undertook a strategic review of the college’s estate to produce an in-depth, costed Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule to inform their estate strategy.

- St. Peter’s College has a diverse collection of buildings, including listed structures and newer additions.
- Our historic building specialist surveyed a diverse collection of buildings, including 12 listed structures, as part of the 21 surveys completed.
- The various building conditions were assessed, and potential risks and compliance challenges were flagged up to the College, in an in-depth report.
- Thanks to our in-house historic building expertise, we were able to cost the PPM schedule accurately based on in-depth experience of listed buildings maintenance requirements.
