Ian Miles

Ian joined Vail Williams in 2024 as People Development Manager. He is responsible for motivating and developing our people through the running of our people and performance functions, creating a people-led culture where our people can thrive.

With a background in banking and retail, Ian has a wealth of experience in managing colleague development and performance alongside the fundamental requirements of a business, most recently within a regulated environment.

Throughout the course of his career, Ian has worked in a variety of roles and areas within organisations including store and relationship management, operations, systems and recruitment.

“I have a desire to see individuals achieve their goals and to thrive in their career path. I am passionate about being able use my skills and experience to play a part in nurturing, supporting and developing those individuals during the journey.”

Outside of work Ian loves spending time with his family. He is also a big music fan and loves the draw of live music, attending gigs on a regular basis.
