Matthew Wakeman

Matt is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer who joined Vail Williams in 2022, having worked in the Sussex property market for over 20 years.

He specialises in providing valuation advice on a wide range of commercial and residential property, as well as land valuations. Matt is also experienced in lease advisory, having provided rent review and lease renewal advice to both landlords and occupiers of commercial property.

He has and continues to represent some of the UK’s largest banking, financial service and pension fund providers, as well as private individuals, in the provision of property valuations for a variety of purposes from single assets to large portfolios.

In his role at Vail Williams, Matt is responsible for the valuation of commercial property across all main sectors, including industrial, office, retail and mixed-use developments, together with valuations of residential property, in the Sussex and surrounding areas.

With two young children he doesn’t get much spare time but when possible does enjoy spending time with his family and socialising with friends. He is also big Formula 1 fan.
