Steven joined Vail Williams in 2025 as a Regional Facilities Manager. He has over seven years’ experience in facilities management and property asset management, working across commercial, retail, residential, and mixed-use property portfolios.

In his current role at Vail Williams, Steven supports clients with the proactive management of their property assets, ensuring buildings operate efficiently, safely, and in line with wider asset management strategies. He works closely with landlords, occupiers, managing agents, and contractors to protect asset value, manage risk, and enhance occupier satisfaction.

Steven began his career managing a diverse portfolio of properties on behalf of The Crown Estate in London, working alongside leading managing agents including Regent Street Management Direct and JLL.

This role provided early exposure to prime commercial assets and high-profile occupiers, developing a strong foundation in building operations, compliance, and stakeholder management.

Following the successful tender of the Westminster portfolio, Steven joined JLL, where he progressed into a Regional Facilities Management role. He was responsible for the operational management of commercial property assets across a wide geographic area, from Brentwood to Sunderland. This position strengthened his expertise in multi-site property asset management, contractor performance, health and safety compliance, and service delivery for landlords and occupiers.

Steven later moved into a site-based facilities management role at Cambridge Science Park, where he managed a portfolio of 14 properties. These included laboratory buildings, commercial offices, restaurants, and landscaped external areas. Managing technically complex buildings enhanced his understanding of operational risk, planned maintenance, statutory compliance, and occupier-focused facilities management.

Key experience:

  • Commercial property facilities management and asset management support
  • Implementation and optimisation of CAFM systems, including Elogbooks and Vantify, to improve reporting, workflow efficiency, and service coordination
  • Management of major incidents and critical building failures, including coordination with utility providers, local authorities, tenants, and specialist contractors
  • Contractor management, compliance monitoring, and health and safety oversight across multi-occupancy buildings

Outside of work, Steven has a long-standing interest in sport, having played competitive football and regularly playing squash. He also enjoys socialising, walking, and camping.
