Tim Porter joined Vail Williams’ Property Asset Management team in 2025 as a Regional Facilities Manager, based in our Reading office.

With a strong technical background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services, Tim brings a hands-on and proactive approach to the management and maintenance of commercial property assets.

He is passionate about ensuring that every property under his care operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of compliance.

In his role, Tim is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, compliance and operation of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties across the region. His day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, managing service contracts for building systems, and ensuring full health and safety compliance across all sites.

Tim plays a key role in delivering Vail Williams’ high-quality property and facilities management services, working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to maximise operational efficiency and asset performance. His focus on continuous improvement and effective communication ensures that buildings are well maintained, energy-efficient, and aligned with clients’ long-term property strategies.

Throughout his career, Tim has successfully:

  • Led a major HVAC upgrade project for a multi-site client, achieving a 15% reduction in energy costs.
  • Implemented a digital reporting system to improve maintenance response times and enhance communication with key stakeholders.

Known for his attention to detail and collaborative mindset, Tim helps deliver exceptional asset management outcomes that will add long-term value for our clients.

Outside of work, Tim enjoys DIY projects, walking his dogs, gardening, and motorsports.
