Andrew Soane is a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer who joined Vail Williams in 2019.

He specialises in providing valuations for a wide range of purposes, such as secured lending, inheritance tax, accounting, and pension matters. He has worked with lenders such as NatWest, Lloyds, Handelsbanken, and HSBC.

Andrew’s valuation work includes complex portfolios across multiple use types, covering residential development sites, residential investment portfolios, and commercial properties such as offices, retail, and industrial. He is also experienced in acting as a Designated Adviser for Section 119 Charities Act reporting, supporting both local and national charities with property transactions requiring regulatory compliance.

His main focus area is Surrey and East Hampshire, where he provides tailored valuation advice across a diverse client base.

Prior to joining Vail Williams, Andrew worked in the public sector at a Hampshire Local Authority, where he managed estate portfolios and was involved in acquisitions, lettings, and lease negotiations across a diverse range of assets—including offices, industrial units, retail parks, leisure facilities, and ground rent investments.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time outdoors, tinkering, and is an avid reader, particularly of science fiction and fantasy.
