––Sam joined BMH 10 years ago and now is part of the Vail Williams business rates advice team when it was recently acquired. 2017 will be his 3rd Revaluation.
Sam acts for clients nationally but on a day-to-day basis he is particularly active in helping clients to reduce business rates in the Hampshire and Solent regions.
He has been instructed by Papa John’s to challenge the Rateable Value on their dough plant in Milton Keynes where he successfully managed to overturn the basis of valuation (even though other agents had withdrawn appeals on neighbouring premises), and question the VO’s adopted floor areas. The result was a saving was in excess of £105,000.
He has also been instructed to pursue historic liability errors made by William Hill Organisation Ltd against four of their betting shops in Lambeth. He managed to secure a refund of £23,000 in a turnaround time of 3 weeks.
Sam is an Annual Member of Ascot and Cheltenham racecourses.
