Nicki is a building surveyor who joined Vail Williams in 2021 from Westbourne Block Management, a niche residential property and private garden square management practice in West London.

Prior to this, Nicki worked for GBR Phoenix Beard (Savills) and EA Shaw (CBRE) in the West End where her clients included Columbia Threadneedle, Thames River Capital, Aberdeen Asset Management, Shaftesbury PLC and Pelham Associates.

Nicki specialises in advising investors, developers and private landlords on a variety of building consultancy services in the commercial and residential property sectors.

She has predominantly specified and project managed office and residential property refurbishment projects for landlords and occupiers in London and the home counties.

Nicki also provides dilapidation advice and negotiates financial settlements for retail, industrial and office landlords and occupiers.

She prides herself on delivering quality refurbishment projects, providing best value and return on investment. Her skills and experience, together with her honest, open approach enabled her to gain client trust and respect, evidenced by lasting relationships with landlords and occupiers.

Her most challenging instruction and the one in which she takes most pride is a time critical fire protection improvement project in Queensway.

Following receipt of a London Fire Brigade Notice, the instruction demanded a detailed specification coupled with an efficient and focused approach to meet the required deadline. The residential element of the development necessitated a secure price and clear documentation for submission presenting to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal in order to bypass the s20 procedure.

Outside of work, Nicki can be found on the tennis court or strapped into her trainers pounding the streets, training for her latest running challenge. Pre-covid, she would’ve been organising her next adventure abroad – fingers crossed she can return to this soon!
